Scarlet Pimpernel

One of my favourite flowers, The Scarlet Pimpernel. Nestled and discuised in amongst some elegant Peonies. Quite fitting I think, considering France led the way in Peony cultivation in the 1800's, and the play 'The Scarlet Pimpernel' depicts a masked hero saving French aristocracy during the French Revolution. It's almost as though Pimpernel has crawled in the border to save them from the chop.
